Oh my god. I had the sense that beancount was 'like a statically
typed ledger file'. The requirement (though that could be beanhub's
choice of plugin) mostly gave it away, but I didn't much assume
anything further.
But, now that I'm looking at the syntax in anger, I can see it is
very much trying to be that. I wonder if this is the sort of emotional
response that people who feel static typing is too much ceremony for
adequate development velocity feel analagously to how I do now.
I am very glad I found ledger-cli first.
